Tweezers and other instruments exert a pressure on the tick. The shape of the O’TOM/ Tick Twister, designed by a veterinarian, takes into account the tick’s morphology.

Tick’s mouth-parts are covered with backward directed projections; this allows the tick to anchor in the skin. By pulling up on the tick, the spikes will rise and lock the mouth-parts into the skin. The tick may break and leave parts in the skin causing infection. By twisting motion, the spikes fold into the axis of rotation, and the tick is easily removed, without traction, decreasing the risks of breaking the rostrum. The Deuter ACT Lite 50+10 is a fully featured Hiking and touring backpack, it is a great all round pack for long days out and multi-day trips, as it can be expanded and compressed to accommodate a variety of loads.

The Deuter ACT Lite 50+10 is built to last with ripstop 210 outer fabric and a double layered base. It has a stretch front compartment ideal for storing your helmet or other bulky yet light items, and a separate base compartment for easy access. The ACT Lite 50+10 is also compatible with a 3 litre bladder, great for staying hydrated on the move.

The ACT Lite has Deuter's 'Air Contact' back system, which increases airflow between your back and the pack to reduce perspiration considerably increasing comfort. The Deuter ACT Lite features an adjustable back system to fit a range of back sizes. The ACT Lite 50+10 has a padded hip belt and an internal removable aluminium frame, as well as contoured soft edged shoulder straps meaning it is comfy to wear all day carrying heavy loads. The rucksack has an extendable lid meaning the body of the pack can be enlarged by 10 litres; so the ACT Lite 50 expands to 60 litres (this is the +10).
